My daughter returned to Synergy after her initial treatment 5 years ago, as she was having many of the same problems she originally went into treatment for. Synergy welcomed her back and bent over backwards to assist her as she had no viable insurance for this return. Originally, we had chosen Synergy because they offered treatment for patients with dual diagnosis issues, treating all the issues behind the substance abuse we felt was very important in her recovery. Its been 60 days and my daughter is now functioning and again on her recovery path. This time we feel she is smarter about how to maintain this path and where to turn should she have additional issues in the future. Lisa and Barry have been very supportive of my family and are caring, concerned professionals. Best choice we ever made.

Almost 3 years ago I made the biggest mistake of my life, a 3rd DUI. I was hesitant to ask for help.....but realized I had to do something. I was a inpatient resident with Synergy....and they changed my life. Unlike any previous help I had, the folks (and ultimately friends) from Synergy gave me several choices & options to help me accept the changes I needed to make. Between individual and group counseling and "classroom" type sessions, they teach you how to manage your life....not by just following one set of standards/guidelines. I am extremely happy with the help I got from Synergy...and thankful for the life skills they helped me select for my future.

I could not say more great things about this place!!! Synergy is a fabulous place with even better people. Lisa Liporace, the Clinical Director and her staff brought me in when I had completely lost myself. As a young adult, I had no idea what direction to go in and I cannot thank Synergy and Lisa enough for all their kindness, help and dedication to make me into the woman I am today. From being greeted by Carolyn every morning and making close relationships to Stephanie and Mary Jo, I had a wonderful experience and really enjoyed my program. Synergy treated me as an independent individual and I can honestly say this place has saved my life as well as brought my family closer then ever. They gave me my life back while also providing me with another kind of family. I cannot thank the rest of the staff, Dr. David Liporace, Barry Wolpert, etc. enough for all the things they have done for me. I finally am myself again and I wouldn't have been able to do it without the love and support of everyone here!

My name is Cody and I am an addict, and without the hard stop that my time at Synergy Group Services created I am sure I would be dead today. The staff was friendly and helpful with all my needs. The work that I did while at the facility has given me tools that I use today with over a year clean. Thank you Synergy you are the best.

The professional staff at Synergy helped me get my husband back from the dark path that is addiction. My husband did in-patient and outpatient w/ Synergy, and he continues to see them for a therapy session every other week. Not only was the program comprehensive for him, but I truly felt he was in a safe place, with good people, getting the help he needed. When he first went to rehab, I was not allowed to have contact with him for about a week, and the staff told me i could reach out to them any time to see how he was doing. That seems like a small thing but it meant the world to me. Synergy seems to really care about the individual and their families, where some other places seem to just be about the money. I would and have recommended Synergy to anyone struggling w/ addiction or anyone who is trying to help a loved one overcome it.

Three years ago, I met David and Lisa Liporace when I wanted to come off of Suboxone which I had been on for several years prior and of which I had made several attempts to get off. I was so relieved to enter the program at Synergy Group Services because I was sick and tired of being sick and tired and within a couple of weeks I had been free and clear of Suboxone and also the physicians that were feeding my habit; physicians who never once attempted to help me get off this medication. For this, I am forever grateful to Synergy and to Dr. Liporace. The way they handled me was amazing. I couldn't believe I was standing on day two of being off the suboxone!!! I don't know what I would have done without the help of the therapists and this program at large. Three years later I'm still clean and clear of my opioid dependency, but only through the assistance, persistence and intimacy of Lisa Liporace, David Liporace, Carolyn Willis and the two extra special therapists in this Synergistic Program. I still attend therapy sessions because this is a life long disease and the program works through accountability and support. When I first went to synergy, I had no idea what to expect. I was at a point in my life where I despised everything and everyone. My addiction had taken me to places I never thought I would venture. When I walked through their door, the overwhelming amount of love they showed me from the start was something I was not used to. They cared about me more than I did at the time. Over time, they taught me skills that have helped develop me into a whole person again. From the basics like cooking for myself and how to keep to a schedule to more internal stuff like how to love myself and how to address my problems in a healthy way, they taught me how to live. Although this road hasn't been easy, I owe a great deal of my success to the Synergy family. Carolyn Willis, Lisa Liporace, Dr. David Liporace, Barry Wolpert, the therapists, and all of the techs made life worth living again, and I owe them the world. I know many friends that go to rehab and are just another number in a large group. At Synergy, I was family, and I still am today.

Without exception I was overwhelmingly pleased with the staff, procedures, and process employed by Synergy Group Services both as a resident in the house and in continuing outpatient groups. Their holistic approach to recovery, including medical, physical, psychological, group therapy and A.A. created a strong set of tools and foundation for moving forward in sobriety and life in general. Barry Wolpert, Executive Director, Dr. David Liporace, Medical Director, and Lisa Liporace, Clinical Director, engaged personally and professionally with each client. Stephanie Pinkham and Mary-Joe Rivas, the two primary therapists with Synergy are by far and away the best, most insightful counselors I've encountered. Carolyn Willis, ostensibly the group's Administrative Assistant, served as so much more than her job title would seem to describe. She is the first contact with the organization, and throughout the process, along with the techs, created a safe, nurturing environment that allowed an openness and camaraderie among the patients and the staff that greatly enhanced the healing and learning process. There are not sufficient superlatives to express my gratitude and great appreciation for Synergy Group and its extraordinary staff.

I went to Synergy for 28 days of PHP. It took me a good week to except all the rules in the house, once I calmed down I could focus on getting healthy and I started working on myself. The group sessions and individual therapy sessions helped me a lot. I started to see the change in my thinking and I was feeling better about myself. I still go to Synergy for OP a few times a week. I am glad my kids got me in here, it was the best thing I could have done.

Synergy saved my life when I didn't even truly know that I had a problem with drugs and alcohol from the start of the program. From the moment I came to Synergy, being that its a small rehab, the counselors and staff were really able to focus on me and my needs. I was able to start processing my true inner self and start rebuilding and recreating my life. Everything here, the program, the counselors and the owners are so amazingly talented. I would recommend this place to anyone, it has changed my life.

Synergy is a wonderful program; I can literally say they have saved my life. I came to synergy a few months ago and stayed with them for a full month, during this month I was able to overcome many of my fears and work towards a better version of myself, now I come to synergy a couple of times per week, I really enjoy sharing my experiences during group and with the therapists which have greatly helped me out.

This program saved my 21 year old son's life, LITERALLY! I called them in desperation after my son was admitted to a hospital for over dosing. I wasn't even aware that he had a substance abuse issue. The professionals at Synergy made it possible to safely transition from a New York hospital to their facility in Florida. What we soon found out was this truly is a "holistic" program. As a nurse I am a huge believer that to heal it must come from deep within and it has to include the mind, body and the soul. I was extremely impressed when he told me that he was having acupuncture, going to the gym to meet the trainer, and having massage therapy. He was going to group and individual therapy every single day, and he learned how to budget as well as food shop! The staff allowed weekly family therapy sessions via mobile phones and was exceptionally helpful with all of our needs as a family unit. I do believe that this is due to the fact that Synergy is run by a family and they have seen this type of behavior first hand. My son had amazing care and is now in the process of inter-grading back into society, with the guidance of the program, but on an outpatient status. After speaking to several other programs I must say that if it wasn't for Synergy Group Services I don't know where or if my son would still be with us, I don't know how to thank them enough!!!!
